A sign of respect between Hamilton and Vettel

Competitiors on the track but respect off it. Hamilton and Vettel swap helmets at the end of the race to show their appreciation for each other.

A relationship which seems to be growing, Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton are fierce competitors on the circuit but are developing a mutual respect and friendship.

"This is the kind of honorary thing that drivers do, this is the highest regard of respect that we can have as drivers." Hamilton said. (www.motorsport.com)

"This is like our jerseys. So here's one of mine, great job this year, and it's a real pleassure racing against you."

Vettel said that he had been "realy looking forward" to making the swap with Hamilton.

Hamilton joked that he won't be able to use the helmet as Vettel has "got a small head!"

It is great to see such respect between the two drivers. However, fans will be hoping that they continue to battle on the track and that they don't get too friendly with each other!
