Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc have been disqualified. The drivers' cars were found not to be legal and the stewards have decided that both drivers are disqualified from the US Grand Prix.
A second place for Lewis Hamilton and sixth for Charles Leclerc. The Briton in particular, was very happy with the result after the race, and not surprisingly so. Hamilton came from P3 and even chased Max Verstappen. However, all points are now lost for both Hamilton and Leclerc, as the floor was found to be illegal.
The disqualification of Hamilton and Leclerc means second place for Lando Norris and a podium for Carlos Sainz. The biggest winner of this disqualification is Logan Sargeant. The American finished 12th in his home race and can thus finally record a point in Formula 1 after the disqualification of two drivers.
