This was going on with Hülkenberg: 'Haas goes into protest'

Nico Hülkenberg drove to the points in Australia and survived the crazy chaos in the closing stages. At least, the German did fall silent after the finishing flag. Speculation arose about not having enough fuel on board the Haas, but that seems to be different. Haas may be going after a podium for the driver.
Hülkenberg was even on P4 after the third start. With Carlos Sainz's penalty, the German could have finally clinched his first podium in F1. At Sky, Ted Kravitz says that Haas will file a protest with the race organisers over the final result of the race. They may want the position they gained after the chaotic third start back.
Firstly, it seems Hülkenberg cannot be penalised for having too little fuel in his car. Indeed, F1 journalist Silja Rulle of Germany's Bild says the German was off the track because of engine problems and not because he had run out of fuel. So added to this is the possible protest from Haas, according to Kravitz.
