Grosjean wants to avoid disappointing race pace after good qualifying

It has been a tough time for Haas of late, but Romain Grosjean has offered the team some relief after he qualified in sixth for the German Grand Prix.

Haas have had troubles on and off the track with the fallout from the Rich Energy saga still being felt. This has coincided with their poor form which has seen them fail to score any points since Monaco. It has been so bad for them that Esteban Ocon and Nico Hulkenberg have been linked with seats in place of Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen.

However, Grosjean qualified sixth for the German Grand Prix and the Frenchman is hoping he can build on that and not suffer the same issues he has faced more much of the season.

"Obviously, with track temperatures coming up a bit in qualifying, I was happier with my car. You always want to be on top of the midfield, but today the Alfa Romeo was just too strong for us – it’s super tight in the midfield, which is exciting," Grosjean said on the Haas website.
