Giovinazzi: "I am very happy to be able to work with Kimi again next season"

Antonio Giovinazzi has found his first year driving alongside Kimi Raikkonen enjoyable and has admitted that he is looking forward to driving alongside the Finish driver again next season.

The pair have endured mixed seasons, with Raikkonen picking 43 points compared to his teammates 14 although the Italian is still highly inexperienced.

"I am very happy to be able to work with him again next season," the Italian told Motorsport.com.

"Kimi had no problem adapting and was immediately able to get the most out of the car.

''And of course, it didn't help to compare my result with his in the first part of the season.

"But at the same time, this situation was a great opportunity because this important reference point made me grow enormously and I have to thank Kimi for confirming herself as a fantastic professional and excellent person. He helped me by pointing the right path to follow."

Going into the final race, there is still a chance that Alfa Romeo could reach as high as seventh in the drivers' standings, with them placed just ten points behind Racing Point.
