Williams driver George Russell would change one thing about his rookie season in Formula 1: The chance to drive the first part of the season again.
Russell was called upon by Williams for the start of this season after winning the Formula 2 title in 2018. In 12 races so far this season, Russell is yet to score a point, but that is largely down to Williams' car rather than the driver himself.
Robert Kubica, Russell's team-mate has managed to score one point after a double disqualification for Alfa Romeo in Germany, saw the Pole climb into the top 10 in the maddest race of the season.
However, for the large part of the season, Russell has outperformed his Polish team-mate, who has much more experience than the British 21-year-old driver.
"The first season was useful from various angles," Russell said in an interview with Speedweek. "I did a good job on some weekends, less on others. But even if it did not go well, I could always learn a lot.

"If someone would ask me what I would change, I could drive the first part of the World Championship again, so I would say nothing. Because in life you need experiences from difficult situations in order to develop further."
