WilliamsGeorge Russell has insisted that there are “no hard feelings” towards Haas F1 driver Romain Grosjean after the pair came together on track at the Singapore Grand Prix leading to the Brit’s retirement.
A risky move from Grosjean while Russell was defending his position forced him into the wall and ended his race, leaving the Williams driver furious at the time but the two of them talked about it afterwards.

The Brit shared a plane with Grosjean, Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez to Sochi for the Russian Grand Prix, sharing a picture on social media saying: ““To Sochi with friends… and Romain”, but revealed that the both of them have moved on from the incident.

“Romain is a great guy off the track, we get along,” Russell said.

“I disagree with what happened on track but that’s life. We’re both grown men and we can move on from that.
“We spoke on Sunday night, afterwards we text each other to say what happened on track, stays on track, no hard feelings off it.
“We joked about it, and Carlos and Sergio joked about it on the plane, too.”
Grosjean also added that there was no issue between the two, saying that Russell is “a great guy”.
“We are all good. George is a great guy, we talked about it,” the Frenchman said.

“We went to the stewards, we saw all the footage.
“Mika Salo was the driver steward and said ‘if I was George I would have done the same, if I was Romain I would have done the same’.
“It’s a bit of a shame it ended up that way. We’re all good. We played a bit with social media, it was fun.”
