Gasly angry with team: "Honestly I'm really upset"

Pierre Gasly is sick of not being able to go to Q3 and blames his team AlphaTauri. After he was eliminated from Q3, the Frenchman was visibly affected and you could see him hitting his head in anger.

"To be honest, I'm really upset. I don't want to talk about it too much. We had the speed to get into the top five. Max and Charles have penalties. Every time we went out we were fast. But we kept running on used tyres. I kept asking for laps to come in for new tyres, because the track was drying. But we didn't and because of that, we are out," Gasly told Ziggo Sport F1.

"I don't understand why we didn't go to the pits to put new tyres on like the other guys did. It would have been an easy Q3 and we could have scored a good result. But yes, now it's done and we have to focus on tomorrow," the AlphaTauri driver concluded.

Gasly will start from twelfth on the grid tomorrow and will be in with a chance of scoring points. But he knows that the usually faster Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc will start behind him. He is likely to lose those two places during the race.
