Full results FP3 Imola | Verstappen on P6, chaos all around Imola

The final free practice session ahead of qualifying for the Imola Grand Prix ended with Oscar Piastri at the top of the timesheet. During the first two practice sessions, Max Verstappen did not get there, but the Red Bull driver was not the fastest on Saturday's first session either.

Verstappen and Sergio Perez came out early in the third and final practice session before Sunday's race. On mediums, the Red Bull drivers were no faster than Charles Leclerc, but he was driving on soft tyres. Halfway through the session, it was Fernando Alonso who caused a red flag. The Aston Martin lost his car and slid backwards into the gravel pit. Sergio Perez's red flag later interrupted the session again. The Mexican, in the same spot as Alonso earlier, put his RB20 into the wall. With two minutes left on the clock, Verstappen could do nothing more as his best lap in the session was on the medium tyres.
