Full results FP3 GP Singapore | Verstappen finishes behind Leclerc

Charles Leclerc recorded the fastest time in the third free practice session for the Singapore Grand Prix for the first time this weekend. The drivers only got into action after 30 minutes on the wet track. Max Verstappen finished second, trailing by half a second.

Carlos Sainz completed the top three in the final practice session before qualifying. There was not much action in FP3 because of the rain, so the times are not very representative either. Mercedes was nowhere to be seen in the rain after Lewis Hamilton managed to set the fastest time in FP1. Now the Brit finished only 12th, with George Russell in P9.

Sergio Perez finished in fifth position, while both Aston Martin and Alpine drivers also managed to finish in the top ten. It is possible that qualifying will also be run in rain, but at least for the Red Bull Racing team it will be a gamble. Perez and Verstappen hardly got into any action during FP2 on Friday and have had very little opportunity to test their new set-up.
