The second free practice session of the Miami Grand Prix is over. For Max Verstappen, perhaps the worst practice of the season. For George Russell the best.
Eight teams in the top ten
An eventful second free practice session with two red flags was Russell's chance to shine. The Mercedes driver set the fastest time. Charles Leclerc is second and Sergio Perez third. Carlos Sainz once again drove his Ferrari into the wall during practice. Verstappen had problems and could not set a time.
The dropouts and the turmoil on the track does make for an interesting top ten. There are no less than eight different teams in the top ten. Mercedes and Alpine are perhaps the best, as they are both back 'at the top'.
