Full results FP1 US Grand Prix | Verstappen narrowly ahead of Leclerc

The first and only free practice for the United States Grand Prix is over. It was not a surprising session: Max Verstappen recorded the fastest time, followed by Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.

In the last ten minutes of the practice session, the Formula 1 drivers picked up the pace. Verstappen, who had to give up his first place during the session to Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris and Alexander Albon, recorded the fastest time in the final phase of hour.

Behind Verstappen, Charles Leclerc and Hamilton completed the top three. Sergio Perez finished in P4 and came close to his teammate with a gap of three-tenths. Behind Perez, Kevin Magnussen set a good fifth time, followed by George Russell and Alex Albon.
