Full Australian GP Qualifying Results | Norris P1, Hamilton P8

After an action-packed Qualifying, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri will start from the front row with a McLaren 1-2. Max Verstappen will start from the second row in third.

After not being able to finish FP2 or FP3, Bearman was the second driver out on the track when the green light went out on Q1. Unfortunately, his Q1 stint was short-lived, as he had gearbox issues and had to retire. He did not set a time and sits at P20.

Another rookie out in Q1 was Andrea Kimi Antonelli. It has been confirmed that he had a broken bib, which caused him to lose time compared to George Russell. In Q2, Fernando Alonso had issues, as he hit a patch of gravel and needed to be checked out. Towards the end of Q2, and possibly the reason for some drivers' outings in Q2, Lewis Hamilton had a spin and caused a yellow flag, which aborted many drivers' laps.

In Q3, Norris had a lap time deleted due to a track limit violation. However, he still managed to put it in pole position.
