Kimi Antonelli achieved his first Formula 1 podium at the Canadian Grand Prix. However, he was not able to celebrate as he had to attend school shortly after.
During last weekend's race, Antonelli started fourth but was able to surpass Oscar Piastri for third on the first lap. This allowed Antonelli to stay ahead and make the podium behind George Russell and Max Verstappen.
However, the Italian rookie had to return home rather quickly due to the fact that he had to take his exams this week. In an interview with Corriere dello Sport, Allesandra Regina, Antonelli's teacher, expressed her pride in her student.

Antonelli 24/7 Dedicated to F1, But Doesn't Neglect School

She said, "Although Kimi Antonelli always had many sporting commitments, he never lost sight of his school and his final exam goals."
"We are very happy and proud that Kimi is taking his final exams with his classmates. He is a very modest boy, and his classmates support him."
Continuing, Regina said, "When he was travelling for the Grands Prix, he called or wrote to me to ask questions, or he came straight from the airport to the lessons to have everything explained again, and then he did the tests."
Antonelli has had a busy first part of the season, juggling racing and school, but that doesn't mean he has lost sight of what is important. For the Imola Grand Prix, he brought his classmates to watch him race. Speaking to GPblog and others, he said, "Got some of my best friends for sure at the weekend and my whole family and it's going to be really nice to have them. Extra support and extra good energy for the weekend."
