Formula One Confirm Shanghai Fan Festival

Liberty Media continue there fan festival plans with a brand new event in China.
Shanghai will play host to the next F1 fan festival after the success of F1 in London last season. The festival will be held between the 13th and 15th of April in the run-up to the Chinese Grand Prix in the Jing’An Kerry Centre.
The festival will be hosted by 2016 world champion Nico Rosberg and three-time champion Sir Jackie Stewart and will include e-sports, show cars, live music and will play host to debuting Formula One's official mascot, Axel.
Head of Events Alexandre Molina said that hosting the event was a great opportunity to expand F1's popularity in the East.
“We are very proud that the first F1 Festival of the year will take place in Shanghai, a destination city in a country like China where there is an incredible potential interest for Formula 1.

“The city will have the opportunity to live the Formula 1 2018 Chinese Grand Prix in a unique way and discover the engineered insanity which characterises the pinnacle of motorsport.”
