Formula 2 tested for the first time on Monday ahead of the new 2021 season. In Bahrain, the teams and drivers got into the cockpit for the first time and among the field there were a lot of new faces. Read the latest updates on the F2 test here.

Start of F2 season

The Formula 2 season, like Formula 1, will start in Bahrain at the end of March, but before that race can be driven, testing is required. A remarkable participant in that test is Richard Verschoor. The Dutchman doesn't have a seat yet for 2021, but he is testing for MP Motorsport that still has one place available. It would mean the second Dutchman in F2, after Bent Viscaal's confirmed seat at Trident.
The test will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with the drivers having six hours per day to test. The morning session lasts three hours, after which the afternoon programme is completed from one to four in the afternoon local time. In contrast to Formula 1, during the F2 test all drivers will be in action.
