Formula 1 has unveiled its official opening title song ahead of the commencement of the 2026 campaign.
The theme song, paired with a video showcasing each driver’s signature pose, often plays before every session throughout the season.
This year’s edition, as opposed to what is familiar to long-time viewers, introduces subtle changes: the opening theme is slightly longer and features a wider variety of driver poses.

The video kicks off with the sport’s newest team, Cadillac, highlighting Sergio Perez striking a pose before panning to teammate Valtteri Bottas. They are followed by Audi, with Gabriel Bortoleto and Nico Hülkenberg appearing in their team colours.
The remaining nine teams are then presented in the order of their Constructors’ Championship finish from the 2025 season.'
Mercedes driver George Russell, often tipped as a favourite for the 2026 Drivers’ Championship, notably skipped his trademark T-pose. The video concludes with McLaren’s Lando Norris, who displays a finger to signify his number-one status as the reigning Drivers’ Champion.

Russell reacts boldly to major F1 predictions as 2026 season kicks off

George Russell has described the title favourite tag he has been meted with as much of a compliment as anything else.
Speaking during media day at the Australian Grand Prix, the Mercedes driver was quick to embrace the tag of benign title favourite, stressing how it doesn’t change anything but is simply flattering.
The British driver, however, stressed that once the visor gets locked in, the noises and predictions don’t matter, as he is fully focused on racing.
