Sky Sports pundit and Former F1 driver, Karun Chandhok, has also decided to weigh in on the suspension of FIA steward Derek Warwick. Early Saturday morning, the FIA released a statement
issuing a suspension for the Canadian Grand Prix for steward Derek Warwick. This came after he made unauthorised comments to a betting site regarding
Max Verstappen and several other topics, such as Verstappen's future, how Red Bull treats his teammates, and his Spanish Grand Prix penalty.
Chandhok finds Warwick's suspension 'confusing'
The internet is divided over Warwick's supsension with some journalists, stewards, analysts, and pundits being on one side, and some on the other.
A good example of this would be Will Buxton and Chandhok.
Buxton understands where the FIA is coming from because of Warwick's comments on the betting site. For Buxton, that is the key.
However, Chandhok does not understand at all. He wrote on his social media account, "This is a shame and a bit confusing."
Chanhok continued on X, "Especially as Derek's comments that I read a few days ago were that he agrees with the stewards' decision from Spain and thought they did a good job."
