Five drivers summoned by race control after hectic qualifying session

A hectic qualifying session for the Canadian Grand Prix due to heavy rain. Drivers were looking for the best spots on the track and the best moments to be on the track. Dangerous situations all around. These drivers will be taken to task by the FIA:

The frenzy on the track was too much for the drivers and colleagues at the pit wall to get through flawlessly. As many as five drivers have to come to the FIA's attention. Logan Sargeant and Alexander Albon of Williams are the first to be invited by race control.

These two drivers were not in anyone's way on the track, but have been summoned to explain with their team why they did not declare their tyre sets at the agreed time prior to qualifying. This could potentially result in a penalty for the team.

The man who qualified on P2, Nico Hulkenberg of Haas, must also report. The German has to explain himself further about getting in Tsunoda's way. Tsunoda must also report for getting in Hulkenberg's way. Finally, Carlos Sainz is also back on trial for holding up Pierre Gasly. The Spaniard was in the Frenchman's way so badly that Gasly had to abort his fast lap in Q1 and may have been eliminated early on for that reason.
