Keeevin Motorsport's Juha Miettinen passed away after a seven-car incident at the Nurburgring Nordschleife. The FIA also reacted to the devastating news.
"The FIA is sad to learn of the passing of Juha Miettinen following an incident in today’s first race of the ADAC 24h Nurburgring Qualifiers.
"Our thoughts are with his family and friends and everyone involved in the event."
The incident happened around 25 minutes into NLS4 at the Nordschleife. Seven cars were involved. The other six drivers involved are not in a life-threatening condition. The rest of the weekend will continue as planned at the German circuit.
A statement by the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nurburgring added that "A minute’s silence will be held in memory of the late motorsport competitor during the grid formation for Sunday’s race at 13:00."
