The FIA forced the organisers to launch a thorough investigation into the unsafe situation after the race. Fans were able to enter the track before it was even allowed, and were able to get to Nico Hulkenberg's parked car.
Spectators at the Australian Grand Prix entered the circuit before the race had even finished completely. Among other things, they approached Hulkenberg's Haas, which was unsafe. The light above the Haas' cockpit was red, meaning there was a chance the car was electrically discharged, not only endangering spectators, according to the FIA, but also race officials and drivers.
The organisers admitted the mistakes around security protocols and safety measures. Both sides say it was an unacceptable situation and could have ended disastrously. Therefore, there will be a thorough investigation into how this could have happened.
