Johnny Herbert will be one of the race stewards in Melbourne this weekend, who will determine if and when drivers and/or teams will receive a penalty for an offence at the Australian Grand Prix, and if so, which one. The Briton's appointment comes at a remarkable time, as on the very same day Herbert filched Red Bull Racing's Christian Horner.
Herbert called out Horner during an interview with British tabloid The Sun on Wednesday. For instance, the former F1 driver said he did not understand why the Red Bull Racing team boss refused to leave as allegations of transgressive behaviour persisted. " This is not good for F1 as it simmers on and there is constant attention on it," the former driver said.
"t doesn't help the situation for Red Bull who have the best driver in the world at the present time. And they're very close to pushing [Max Verstappen] out of the team, I've heard they are getting quite close with the deal with Mercedes. It seems like a stupid thing to do, their biggest asset is not the Christian Horner show,," says Herbert, who finds Horner's current actions "arrogant."

Critical Herbert may decide on Horner and Red Bull's fate

Now it appears that the same Herbert will be one of the four race stewards at next weekend's Australian Grand Prix and thus will have to judge Horner's Red Bull, among other things.
