Ferrari used old floor after all in FP3

In Japan, Ferrari introduced a new floor and they were set to implement yet another new floor in the United States, but they ran with the Japan-version after all, reports have confirmed.
Tobi Grüner, F1 reporter at German giants Auto Motor und Sport, shared this on his Twitter. With the new floor, which provided the cars of the prancing horse with some extra wings on the side of the car, they look to gain an advantage again over Mercedes, who can win the drivers' championship this weekend if Lewis Hamilton finishes eight points ahead of Sebastian Vettel.
The latter was the quickest man on the track in FP3 despite running with the old floor, but will suffer in qualifying as he will take a three-place grid penalty. Still, the fact that Ferrari had a one-two in FP3 ahead of both Mercedes cars shows that they're not giving up just yet.
