Formula 1 drivers have been keeping themselves busy during the winter break, diving into various side projects. Earlier this month, Esteban Ocon made his acting debut in the French Netflix film Lune de miel avec ma mère. Now, it's Fernando Alonso's turn to explore a different creative field, as he appears in Francesca Michielin's new music video. The two-time world champion joins the list of F1 drivers branching out beyond the racetrack!

Francesca Michielin is an avid Formula 1 fan. She even released a song in 2017 called "Alonso". That same year, Michielin had the honour of performing the Italian national anthem at the Italian Grand Prix. After her performance, Alonso himself sought her out for a hug and a photo, a memorable moment between the singer and her favourite driver. Their connection continues, with Alonso now appearing in Michielin's latest music video!

The two have apparently kept in touch, as Alonso now plays a role in the Italian pop star's latest music video. The song is called 'Fango in Paradiso', which translates literally to 'mud in paradise' in English. Throughout the video, Alonso can be seen as her personal chauffeur.
