F1 won't return to 13-inch tyres - even if teams don't like them!

Pirelli's head of motorsport, Mario Isola, says that F1 will stick with 18-inch tyres past 2021 after positive testing of the new size last year. F1 is making the tyres bigger for the 2021 season, increasing the size from 13 to 18 inches.
F1 teams rejected a different set of tyres for 2020, testing them towards the back end of last year, but Isola says the new bigger tyres won't be removed no matter what.
He told Autosport: "Luckily, we already ran three test sessions in '19. And the first feedback from 18-inch tyres is quite good. So, I'm not expecting to have any kind of surprise this year.
"Obviously, the car will be different [in 2021]. The car is designed on 18-inch tyres, so in '21, we will have a new product. No chance to go back to 13-inch tyres.
"But I'm positive because especially the first session [when] we were in Paul Ricard with Renault [last September] we did 213 laps in two days."
