From Toto Wolff clarifying the focus of the Mercedes team to David Coulthard settling the debate between Ayrton Senna and Max Verstappen, we take a look at the latest happenings in Formula 1 today. Toto Wolff has revealed that the Mercedes
F1 team will focus solely on
Formula 1 going forward. The Austrian team principal recounted how the team had, in previous years, ventured into several other endeavours.
Mercedes was involved in the America’s Cup through the Mercedes-AMG
F1 team’s Applied Science division, supporting a British challenge by contributing advanced engineering expertise and technical insight to the INEOS Britannia effort across multiple campaigns, most notably in the lead-up to the 2021 and 2024 editions.

However, Wolff has now reiterated that his team will shift its focus entirely to returning to the top of the
Formula 1 pyramid, as it was at the start of the hybrid era.
Former
F1 driver David Coulthard has revealed his pick between
Ayrton Senna and
Max Verstappen.
The 54-year-old, in his assessment, opted for the legendary Brazilian driver. Coulthard, buttressing his claim, stressed that even Verstappen has previously expressed admiration for Senna.
Coulthard, who recently picked Verstappen over
Lewis Hamilton, recounted his close work with Senna. The former
Red Bull Racing driver also recalled the respect Senna’s presence in a room often commanded – something he believes Verstappen has yet to attain.
