There is a plan for an experiment of a new type of race weekend to come into place for next season and it's being considered by all the teams.
The race calendar has extended up to 22 from next season and the proposal would test the trial in three of these rounds.
The type of changes which are being considered includes, mini races, full reverse-grid or Formula 2-style partial reverse-grid races and its thought that the idea has gone down well with many of the teams.
Some of the teams are going through simulations of the different formats to help them to decide if it's worth going forward with for next season.
“The basic race format is good,” he said, “but would a sprint race be interesting or some variation in qualifying is interesting," Ross Brawn said as quoted by racefans.net.

"I think the teams are up for doing some variations during a Saturday to see if we can touch on a better solution.”
