Formula 1 returns to Silverstone this weekend for the British Grand Prix and the 12th round of the world championship. Lando Norris won last time out in Austria and closed the gap in the standings to just 15 points behind McLaren teammate
Oscar Piastri.
The McLarens are expected to be quick again and are sporting a striking chrome livery for this weekend's event.
There are also four British drivers on the grid, including Norris,
Lewis Hamilton, who is making his Ferrari debut, as well as George Russell and Oliver Bearman.
Silverstone's high-speed turns, such as Copse and Stowe, may favour McLaren, and they are also masterful at looking after the Pirelli tyres.
These traits could help them over the weekend, as tyre management is very important to achieve a good result in Formula 1.
Hamilton will also be looking to take his first podium for Ferrari this weekend after a slightly underwhelming start to life with the Scuderia. Ferrari took a slight step forward last weekend at the Red Bull Ring as they brought a new floor, helping to improve the pace.
The seven-time world champion started the weekend superbly and topped the opening practice session ahead of Norris and Piastri.
It was a very professional start to the weekend for Hamilton amid a tricky session for much of the grid, with multiple drivers going off the track.
Gabriel Bortoleto spun at Copse in his Sauber and flat spotted his Pirelli tyres at very high speed.
There may also be some rain around on Sunday afternoon, around the Grand Prix to spice up the action, at a venue where rain is never far away.
