F1 Full Results | Chinese Grand Prix Sprint: Hamilton P1, Verstappen P3

Lewis Hamilton took the first win of his Ferrari career, taking sprint race victory at the Chinese Grand Prix ahead of Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen in the top three.

The 40-year-old held onto first place with a fine start after taking P1 in sprint qualifying yesterday, keeping himself ahead of Verstappen into turn one.

He did not relinquish his lead throughout the whole 19 laps, looking after the medium tyres superbly to take a convincing win. Verstappen could not hold onto his tyres, meaning Piastri was able to overtake the Dutchman in the final few laps.

Behind the top three, George Russell in the Mercedes took a fine P4, holding back a late challenge from the other Ferrari in Charles Leclerc, only able to take P5.

Yuki Tsunoda took a fantastic P6 ahead of Kimi Antonelli, holding back the Mercedes driver with a brilliant drive. The final points-paid position went to Lando Norris, with a poor start dropping him from sixth to ninth, only able to move up one spot in the 19 laps as he struggled with graining.

The Aston Martin's of Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso rounded out the top ten, just missing out on the sprint race points.
