The viral Kiss Cam video at a Coldplay concert
provoked many to join in, creating a worldwide sensation. The video, which caught a couple having an affair, was seen and shared tens of millions of
times in no time. The Barcelona F1 circuit also joined in on the trend.
Footage of a couple in the stands – who were later found out to be the CEO and an HR chief of a tech company - went viral worldwide. In the aftermath of the moment, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya
shared the video on X with the following caption: “We are planning a Kiss Cam for the next Catalan GP.”
The Coldplay concert incident
The incident that inspired the tweet took place during a Coldplay concert in Boston. On the Kiss Cam, a man and
woman were filmed appearing visibly uncomfortable when they noticed they were
on camera. Coldplay singer Chris Martin saw it happen and joked: “Either
they're having an affair, or they're just very shy.” The footage
gone viral on TikTok and X with tens of millions of views.

Online, the couple was quickly identified as the
CEO of Astronomer – whose wife has since apparently deleted her social media
- and an HR chief of the same company. The tech company responded to the
controversy by placing both employees on leave. An investigation was also
initiated.
