Marcus Ericsson’s for has taken a terrific upturn this season. He scored his first points in over two years in Bahrain and has achieved a top ten finish in three of the last five races.
The Swede started his F1 journey with Caterham in 2014 before moving to Sauber the next season, where he has been ever since.
Partnered with the extremely talented Charles Leclerc, Ericsson has had to up his game and has reacted well to the challenge.
Whilst Leclerc has 13 points compared with Ericsson’s six, eight of the Monegasque’s points were scored in Azerbaijan, and he hasn’t scored in the last four Grands Prix.
Ericsson has been under pressure for a while now after being outscored by Felipe Nasr and Pascal Wehrlein in 2016 and 2017, and the soon to be 28-year old knows that he must perform if he wants to stay in the sport.

Ericsson said: "It's important to perform well and especially in this part of the year, in the last five races I've scored three times and twice as much as my teammate, that kind of statistics can be very important.
“Now I have to make sure that I keep getting better and I know that there is a lot more competition for the seats than the last two seasons.”
