Danish Grand Prix looking unlikely

Danish fans of Formula One will be disappointed to hear the news that the possibility of a Grand Prix in Denmark is unlikely. The sport’s popularity in Denmark has grown in recent years with Kevin Magnussen’s involvement.

The Haas driver is the most successful Dane in the history of F1, scoring the only podium finish for a Danish driver in 2014.

Liberty Media have expressed a desire on multiple occasions to expand the Formula One calendar to as many as 25 races.

Potential venues for future races have included New York and Vietnam. A race in Miami is also looking likey.

However, Danish Finance Minister Kristian Jensen has suggested that Denmark will not be one of those potential venues.

He told Danish publication, Politiken: “The government is prepared to put some money into the hosting of Formula One in Denmark.
