Daniel Ricciardo says "these results hurt" following Renault double DNF in Germany

Daniel Ricciardo has revealed that the whole team was hurting following last week's double DNF at an unpredictable German Grand Prix, where points were certainly available for the French team.

Ricciardo retired early with mechanical issues and Nico Hulkenberg was on for a potential maiden podium finish when he was caught out like so many in the final sector and forced to retire from such a promising position.

Ricciardo told F1's Will Buxton in the Hunarian media paddock: "When I saw Nico doing well I thought maybe Nico could keep everyone's spirits up, he was doing well and then it happened.
