F1 pundit on Verstappen's situation at Red Bull: ‘This is what you want to hear’

Max Verstappen's future in Formula 1 continues to be a hot topic. With Christian Horner replaced by Laurent Mekies, Tom Coronel pointed out something in Viaplay’s Vrooooom that could work in Verstappen’s favor.

During the show, an interview with Mekies was aired, in which he made it clear he's doing everything possible to keep Verstappen on board.

F1 Dutch pundit Tom Coronel commented on Mekies' statement: “This is what you want to hear as a driver, isn't it? Everything for you.''

Presenter Rob Kamphues discussed Mekies' approach compared to Horner: ''Horner said: 'No one is bigger than the team, Mekies says: He (Verstappen) is crucial to the team'.''

Coronel also commented on Mekies' statement: "This is quite a serious statement, which you make as a team boss to Max. 'Tell me what you need', I'm here for you, the team is here for you. We are going to build everything around you. This is also expressing trust towards Max: 'We are here for you'.''

Will Verstappen make the move or stay loyal to Red Bull?

It is still unclear where Verstappen's future lies. However, the arrival of Mekies could be good news for Red Bull. Mekies' arrival has created a positive atmosphere within the team, which could contribute to Verstappen's decision to stay with the team.
