Coronavirus causes MotoGP to cancel third race as Argentina is postponed

The coronavirus keeps affecting sporting events worldwide in attempts to contain COVID-19 from spreading any further, with the MotoGP announcing its race in Argentina has been postponed.

The Argentinian Grand Prix is the third race on the calendar to be postponed because of health and safety reasons, with the races in Qatar and Thailand already having been rescheduled.

In a statement, MotoGP revealed they have already picked a new weekend for the event to take place.

The last months of the MotoGP calendar are set to be extremely busy now. The last race of the season in Valencia is on November 29th, creating two 'triple headers'. The Grands Prix in Japan, Australia and Malaysia will be held on consecutive weekends, with the races in Austin, Argentina and Valencia also coming in back-to-back-to-back weekends.
