Constructors' standings after the US | Red Bull gain on Mercedes

Red Bull and Ferrari did the best they could in the battle for the Constructors' World Championship at the United States Grand Prix. Both teams made up ground on their nearest rivals, making the final five races of the season very exciting indeed.

Red Bull and Ferrari catch up

With Max Verstappen's victory and Sergio Perez's third-place Red Bull Racing scored a lot of points in Austin. With 40 points the team scored 13 points more than rival Mercedes and are closing in on the constructors' world title race. The gap is now only 23 points, which means that the last five races will still be exciting.
It is also exciting in the battle for third place in the championship. McLaren and Ferrari have been close all season, but the last few races Ferrari is slowly catching up with McLaren. In Austin Ferrari scored four points more, bringing the gap to McLaren back to just 3.5 points.
