The new Concorde Agreement could well bring new brands into Formula 1. With the money more fairly distributed, Porsche and Audi now also seem to be open for a step into F1.
Audi and Porsche are two major brands in Formula E, but the new Concorde Agreement could see them attracted to F1 in the near future. In fact, Porsche is debuting in Formula E this season and seems to be a candidate to enter Formula 1 as well. The CEO of the Volkswagen Group has caused a commotion on LinkedIn.

Porsche and Audi to F1?

"In my opinion, we should continue racing in the future. Formula 1 will be carbon neutral and will also use synthetic fuels. It is therefore much more interesting and fun racing, with better technology than Formula E. There they only drive laps in the city," says Herbert Diess on LinkedIn according to Sport1.de.
This is of course remarkable for the CEO of the Volkswagen Group to say. Indeed, the Volkswagen Group includes racing brands Audi and Porsche, both of which are active in Formula E. Is Volkswagen considering including these brands in Formula 1 now that the Concorde Agreement is a lot more favorable?
