The Chinese Grand Prix Sprint race was brought to a temporary halt following a safety car, prompted by Nico Hulkenberg.
The Audi driver, who suffered a technical issue, saw his race come to a stop on the 14th lap. Hulkenberg’s car triggered the first safety car of the session, with several teams diving into the pit lane to change their tyres.
At the tail end of the grid, Valtteri Bottas was also forced to retire from the Sprint due to a loss of power in his Cadillac.
