Charles Leclerc provides health update following huge Italian GP crash

Ferrari's Charles Leclerc has provided details of his condition following a massive crash at Parabolica on Lap 2 of the Italian GP. The Monegasque lost the rear of his Ferrari at the final corner, and slid onto the gravel and into the barrier in what was a heavy impact.
Thankfully, Leclerc was quick to get out of his Ferrari SF-26, before being looked at by the FIA doctors on the grass. The 28-year-old was then sent to the medical centre, but was released after no injuries were detected.
Leclerc reveals blurry vision in Monza crash aftermath
However, Leclerc has offered further insight into the immediate impact of his early crash, revealing that he briefly suffered with blurry vision to his right eye.
Speaking to media, including GPblog, Leclerc said: “The neck was OK, it was just the vision a little bit at first. The right eye was not showing me great vision, but now it's all good, so that's the thing I was most worried of getting off the car. Then after that, a bit of pain here and there, is normal after a crash like this, so nothing more."

With the Spanish GP immediately following the action this weekend at Monza, Leclerc then revealed that he could need further checks to ensure he is fully fit and ready for F1's debut at the 'Madring'.
He added: "I think I'll have quite a few additional checks that we that we still have to to do on on my side probably tonight and and tomorrow to make sure that I'll be fully fine for for Madrid. Should be the case but... Better be safe than sorry."
Antonelli overjoyed after incredible home win at Italian GP: "Unbelievable'
Speaking immediately post-race, Kimi Antonelli was overjoyed with his incredible win at the Italian GP - recovering from P19 to the top very step at Monza.
He said: "Unbelievable! I am so happy and I could have never imagined to be here today. But we managed to pull it off and I'm really, really happy."

His teammate Russell, although disappointed to miss out on what would have been a crucial win, congratulated his teammate: “Huge congrats to Kimi. Incredible result from him. When I looked at the leaderboard in the beginning I saw he was already in P5, P4, I knew straight away he was going to be in the mix. Huge congrats to him."
