Charles Leclerc will start the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix from last place after getting eliminated from Q2. The Monegasque exceeded track limits at turn one, which meant his lap time, which was more than good enough to get into Q3, was deleted. It's disastrous for Ferrari, who is 21 points behind McLaren in the championship battle. The Italian team need an extraordinary weekend in order to beat their rivals, but it's looking unlikely at this point.

What happened to Charles Leclerc?

A snap of oversteer for Charles Leclerc nearly put him in the wall in sector three. Although the Monegasque escaped unscathed, his time was only good enough for tenth place. Therefore, he took to the track once again to try and improve. He did manage to, but his lap time was deleted. With his 10-place grid penalty added on, it means that he will start from last place at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in what was a disaster for Ferrari.
