Chairman "very angry" post-Brazil: "The only thing that counts is Ferrari winning"

Ferrari chairman John Elkann has admitted he was left "very angry" with the F1 team's drivers colliding on-track during the Brazilian Grand Prix, as he reminded that the team should always come first, no matter what.

The race at Interlagos ended early for Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc as they touched at the end of the back straight, both suffering punctures to cause the first no-points showing of the team since 2017.

Although Ferrari have tried to keep the discussions internal, the collision has sparked debate across the world and what direction the Italian works team should go in.

Elkann, the chairman of both Ferrari as well as parent company FCA (the Fiat company), warned the duo to always put the team first, regardless of the circumstances.

"I'm very angry about Sunday's Grand Prix," the American-Italian told ANSA.

The 43-year-old does know it's not all bad in 2019, although rivals Mercedes have once again run away with both championships.
