Following an enthralling Dutch Grand Prix, where the trademark Dutch weather was an ever-present threat across the race weekend, Formula 1 now travels to Italy, and GPblog brings you the forecast estimations for the race weekend at the Temple of Speed.
Located in the Brianza region, the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza will host the 16th round of the Formula One World Championship: the Italian Grand Prix.
This race will present Ferrari and its drivers with the opportunity to redeem themselves after what turned out to be an abysmal race weekend in the Netherlands for the Scuderia with a double zero resulting from Lewis Hamilton’s and Charles Leclerc’s DNFs.
For the British Ferrari driver this event marks his first outing for Ferrari at the Scuderia’s true home Grand Prix. Across the weekend the ever-watchful eye of the tifosi will be fixed on Hamilton hoping he’s able to finally rediscover the form that he was able to show at Austria and Silverstone and get his Ferrari stint back on track.
For Lando Norris, after his demise at the Dutch GP prompted by a reliability issue, it means a chance to get his title bid reignited and close the 34 points deficit that now separates him from teammate and championship leader Oscar Piastri.
