Cadillac also made its official Formula 1 debut by taking to the track on the opening day of testing in Barcelona. Like Audi, the American giant is making its full
Formula 1 debut, with
Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Pérez returning as full-time race drivers after spending the 2025 season away from the grid.
It was the Finn who was the first of the two to head out on track in the morning, running a full-black car, with Haas completing the line-up of Ferrari-powered teams on track today ahead of the SF-26’s first appearance from tomorrow.
Cadillac is one of the few teams yet to unveil the official livery it will race with in its maiden
Formula 1 season, with the launch event scheduled to take place during the Super Bowl on 8 February.
This article will be updated throughout the day.
Ocon takes to the track in Barcelona as Haas share first crisp shot of VF-26
The American team had already completed a run a few days ago at Fiorano — the same circuit used by Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc for the SF-26 shakedown — while Oliver Bearman also had the chance to get his first laps in the VF-26.
It remains to be seen whether Ocon will cover the full day’s running, or if the British driver will step in for the afternoon session.
