Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas is to be presented with the 2018 Lorenzo Bandini Trophy.
Bottas will be presented with the award following a unique ceremony, which involves a 12km drive from Faenza to Brisighella to collect the award on the 5th of May. Bottas will be taking the drive in the 2016 WO7 which won Mercedes the Constructors and Drivers Championship.
The Bandini Trophy is rewarded in memory of Lorenzo Bandini, the former F1 and Le Mans driver, who sadly lost his life at the 1967 Monaco Grand Prix.
The trophy, first awarded in 1992 was won by Bottas's teammate Lewis Hamilton in 2010 and was last year won by Scuderia Ferrari becoming just the second team to win the trophy which is awarded for a 'commendable performance in motorsport'.
