Bottas looks ahead to Alfa Romeo: 'I'm looking forward to it'.

Valtteri Bottas impressed on Friday evening by setting the fastest time in qualifying, outperforming his teammate Lewis Hamilton. Afterwards, he was enthusiastic about his performance.

The Finnish driver was surprised at the end of qualifying by setting an excellent lap time. "The qualifying lap was nice. It felt so good to drive a good lap," Bottas stated after qualifying. "I was satisfied until the end. I enjoyed myself. I feel good and relaxed."

Bottas signed his contract with Alfa Romeo this week, making him certain of a seat next year. "Everything is arranged for the future. Of course, I am very happy for the team today. Next year there are exciting things for me and I'm looking forward to it."

George Russell will be Bottas' replacement next season. Expectations at Mercedes are high, but next year will have to show if Russell can continue to perform consistently.
