Ferrari team boss, Mattia Binotto will not attend the Turkish Grand Prix as Ferrari turn their attention to development. The Italian admitted this isn't a last-minute plan and doesn't expect to be at every race.
"I don't expect to be present every race," the Italian told Motorsport-Total.com. Ferrari's team boss will focus on tasks in the factory, rather than the role he plays on the track. As the F1 calendar is expected to contain 23 races in 2021, teams are already rotating team members to reduce the pressure on a permanent crew.

Absent in Turkey

The race in Turkey will be the first Grand Prix where Binotto will be absent. "We will probably see that more often in the coming years. You are responsible for the entire team, the race event may be important but it also involves the entire management of the team," Binotto said.
"As far as I know, you have to find the right balance between the tasks you have on the track and the tasks you have in the factory," Binotto added.
