The sweltering 2021 season is still a part of conversation. For Mattia Binotto, however, the year has been discussed enough and the focus in the Formula One world may turn more to the new season, he informed Sky Sports.
The Ferrari team boss experienced a good season with the Italian stable with a third place in the constructors' championship. At the front of the driver field, however, Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton fought for the world title. In the process, the race control made a number of decisions that are still being debated today.

Binotto makes clear statement

For example, this month the FIA decided to say goodbye to Michael Masi. In addition, the organization announced a number of other changes that should contribute to a fairer Formula 1. Binotto believes that the teams and FIA would do well to have the focus on the new season.
"What happened in Abu Dhabi has been over-discussed, over-analysed," Binotto reveals. "I think the fact it took so long shows the complexity of the matter, nothing obvious. It’s very difficult to say everything was wrong, any mistakes or not. Certainly when you are taking such a decision, you are under a lot of pressure in the heat of the action."
