Oliver Bearman has given a strong verdict on the Las Vegas Street Circuit after only two practice sessions under the lights in Sin City. "This is the least enjoyable street track I've driven."
- Oliver BearmanIt’s the first time the
Haas F1 Team rookie has ever raced around Las Vegas and he voiced his displeasure about the circuit after a flat Thursday for the American team.
Speaking to F1TV on Thursday, Bearman said: “This is the least enjoyable street track I've driven.
“Normally, they're really, really fun and great. This one, really, really low grip, which is not a great combination when you have the walls very close. It's incredibly high speed, which is dangerous.
“For the track itself, it's cool to be racing now in Las Vegas but, aside from that, there's not much good stuff.”

The only American team on the grid, Haas finished P16 and P17 in FP1, followed by P17 and P19 in an FP2 session interrupted by manhole problems.
Tricky conditions
Much had been made of the slippery track conditions in the opening day in Las Vegas, with many drivers anticipating the track to improve in grip over the course of the weekend.
Max Verstappen said to Sky Sports:
“The track is improving quite a bit every session, so we will focus on that to see how we manage the tyres in qualifying and the race." Similarly
Lewis Hamilton added:
“It was very slippery, very, very slippery, but the track ramped up quite quick and hopefully it's dry tomorrow, we'll see.”Las Vegas follows back-to-back strong performances for Bearman after he followed a career best P4 in Mexico with a P6 finish in Brazil.
