Former Ferrari team principal Maurizio Arrivabene has been linked to a job at Italian football giants Juventus again, as the 61-year-old will reportedly sit down with the club later this week to discuss a full-time position.
Arrivabene was appointed team principal at Ferrari in September 2014, as he took over from Marco Mattiacci in an attempt to get Ferrari back to the top of the grid. After failing to beat Mercedes in all of his time in Maranello, the team opted not to renew his contract for the 2019-season. Mario Binotto, who was technical director, will be spearheading the team from 2019 onwards.
Now that he has no commitments at Ferrari anymore, Arrivabene could be getting a more permanent role at Juventus. He's been a board member since 2012. Corriere dello Sport reported that he will sit down with Juventus president Andrea Agnelli later this week to discuss a role.
“I have been an exponent of the company’s Board of Directors for many years and before taking up this position in Maranello, I had the delegation of control/risks and I am pleased to remain on the board, provided that the appointment is accepted at the next shareholders’ meeting, and I am honoured, but my work remains here [at Ferrari] ,” Arrivabene told PlanetF1 back in October.
