Audi motorsport boss Dieter Gass has revealed he has held talks with Williams driver Robert Kubica about racing in the DTM, with the Polish driver's future in F1 under serious doubt.
Williams are considering who should partner George Russell for the British team in the 2020 season, and Kubica has also admitted that he is looking elsewhere for a potential move away from Formula 1.
Kubica drove a DTM car in the past, driving a Mercedes in a test in 2013. Autosport report that Audi motorsport boss Gass has held talks with the experienced racing driver over his future.
When asked about the rumours, Gass answered: "(Kubica is an) Interesting driver for sure, for the DTM in general. It's a bit early to comment too much into details of the driver situation for our factory drivers.
"But, if I look back, I think one of the differences (in Audi winning the manufacturers' title this year) was that we had a very strong and balanced line-up.
